Purl Knit

For making a purl knit two beds are required on the flat knitting machine, alternating courses are technical front and back. The machine has two different mechanisms for it, where the needle has to transfer so either you have a purl knitting machine, where needles are transferred from one bed to another, or you have the loop transfer mechanism in the v bed machine itself

Float Knitting

In this type of knitting no loop clearing, catching, or knocking of the yarn. The yarn will not have any intermeshing points with its old loop because of that the yarn will become straight so this type of stitch is called float knitting or miss stitch. Float helps in hiding the yarn, this type of fabric has a less extensible and snagging problem, more lengthwise contraction naturally the length of the fabric will decrease

Rib Knit | Rib Knit structures: All about you want to know

Rib structure belongs to the double jersey structure, wherein a course you can find technical front and back loops alternatively. double bed. Widely popular in v bed machine. This knit same course has technical front and back loops, All the needles making loops on both beds is called full rib.

And 1×1 rib knit means only one needle is active and the other needle is not active on both beds. It means alternative needles are active rest needles are just sitting ideal they are not part of loop formation this is called 1×1Rib knit.

2×2, two ribs in both the beds two needles are operating two are sitting ideal, similarly, on the back bed, two needles are operating two needles are not operating 2×1 rib-knit indicates on both the beds you are making two loops one needle is not acting. If you see the front bed two are acting one is resting. Similarly, on the back bed, two are acting one is resting.

Tuck Knit

Tuck knit has two intermeshing points, the singer part is not available in this loop, and the legs are spread. Only catching the yarn, no clearing and knocking. The tuck loop is always associated with a held loop. The held loop is actually bigger in size because it has been held by the needle for multiple courses, because of that the length of that loop will increase, so it pulls the fabric in the length directions, becauseand of that the length of the loop will increase, due to that a kind of shrinkage in the length direction and the fabric to relax in width direction because its legs are open so tuck knit fabric width along the course direction will increase Wider, More thickness, width-wise slightly less extensible

Cable Knit

Cable knit is a popular design used in sweaters and t-shirts. Cable architecture is like a ladder, its moves like a snake. In this design columns are shifted from left to right or right to left at the intersection point, needles remain the same only the loops are interchanging in this design. Interchange two loops in one course create one cross one cable, interchange two loops each other then it creates two crosses two cable when exchange three loops each other is called three crosses three cables. And also create two cross one three cross one etc.

Milano Knit : Best Knit Fabric Structure

Full Milano knit has three courses per repeat, with one course of 1×1 rib, one course of plain on the other side of the fabric, and the other course of plain on the other side.

Half Milano knit

Half Milano is made up of one rib course and one plain course always on the face side of the fabric. The resultant fabric is an unbalanced structure, with a different appearance on both sides. Half Milano is seldom knitted as piece goods, it is used for a sweater for course gauge (5 to 7-gauge v bed machine with woollen or acrylic yarns).

Knit Loop Stitch | What is Intermeshing Loop

The movement of yarn in a weft knitting is the bent form it needs support, and the support is provided by other loops, so this is called intermeshed loops or knit loop stitch. You have the loops which intermeshed with neighboring loops, especially at the top and bottom in the same column so knitting is just a process of intermeshing loops together, and these loops only help other in securing and stabilizing the entire structure
