To overcome the limitations of hand knitting we can use mechanization, so we can control the loop formation in each column by separate needle, instead of fabric formation by the two bars we have multiple numbers of needles for the number of columns which is in the fabric structure. Because each needle will support each column, if you have 500 needles 500 needles will support 500 columns. In this way we can achieve a very high width of the fabric and also the movement of needles are independent process. We can control the movement of the needle precisely, there is less chance of any tension variations, and we will get a uniform structure. The big advantage of the process is all the needles can operate simultaneously so naturally, the production will increase.
